He reports that the "Egyptian Intelligence Minister called Netanyahu ten days before [the] Hamas attack and warned him of ‘something unusual, a terrible operation’ that was about to take place from Gaza." Yahu was indifferent to the tip. Why?
Abramson puts the pieces of the puzzle together. Yahu is subject to several, serious criminal charges. He had mass protests over his fascist takeover of the courts. But he needed to instill more fear to remain in power. He knew that ignoring the threat and being deliberately unprepared would lead to war and provide the necessary horror he could manipulate for his power play.
Yes, it is sick and sounds like the sort of conspiracy theory the TrumPets are infamous for. But Abramson is a fastidious reporter and credible investigator who strings together fact after fact into a plausible narrative. It seems far more believable than some of the best Intelligence agencies on the planet were unexpectedly caught with their pants down.
