Bernie notes that by blockading the open-air prison that is Gaza and cutting off fuel, food and electricity, thereby hurting countless civilians, "is a war crime, no matter who does it."

Yes, Hamas did so and they must be punished. But not by justifying the blood lust of civilian targets in Gaza with a blockade and an all-out assault. I'm quite confident that elite Israeli intelligence and special forces can specifically isolate and eliminate Hamas targets with minimal to no civilian collateral damage.
