As noted in the last post, some have assumed the strike came from Israel. Others responded that information coming out of Gaza cannot be trusted. The following is from US intelligence sources. Given the US unconditional support of Israel should we also take this with a grain of salt?
According to the US National Security Council, based on "intelligence, missile activity, and open source video and images of the incident [...] initial evidence [...] suggests that the hospital strike came from a rocket launched by the Palestinian Islamic Jihad group." Other evidence suggests that "it was a ground explosion rather than an airstrike that hit the hospital." However "intelligence officials have not made a final assessment and are still gathering evidence."
