To their 2005 US Open win in the Sophisticated Swing division. Michael has been an inspiration and virtual mentor to me over my entire 22-year dance career. In this performance it's not about fancy tricks (even though there are a few) but more about infusing basics with the style, grace and poise typical of this long-time coach, teacher and performer. I can only hope that some of that has rubbed off on me in my quest to emulate him.
