DOD spins the coup attempt

So why did Twitler replace top brass at the Pentagon? Combine that question with the fact that the Pentagon is in charge of the DC National Guard, and that it appears they prevented the Guard from being on hand at the Capitol prior to the assault. And now they are spinning the coup as "First Amendment Protests" and providing a questionable timeline that covers their asses. Something smells rotten in DC. And they apparently aren't done yet.
