Ball: Biden's infrastructure proposal falls way short

Biden offers a $2 trillion package, far from the $11 trillion progressive proposal. And far from Biden's own $7 trillion plan he campaigned on. Even corporate Dem Manchin wanted $4 trillion. It drops the child tax credit. No mention of the $15 minimum wage that apologists claimed would be in there this time. A token but ineffective mention of union support. And the penny pinching deficit hawkery that pervades it is weak and pathetic.

Once again Biden starts a needless and incrementalistic 'negotiation' with the conservatives in his own Party instead of coming out of the gate bold and strong. We the people are sooo tired of this lame approach and really want the latter. Once again promises are not fulfilled and we are left hanging. Yeah it's better than what Twit would do and it's better than nothing. But it's not good enough to hold the House and Senate, much less get the economy back on track.
