Manchin and Sinema take blood money

Sirota reports on the money they receive by organizations adamantly opposed to raising the minimum wage to $15. Not only that, both of them will be headlining a conference put on by the National Restaurant Association, also so opposed. Their claim is that the raise would hurt their business, yet executives in that very org have reported that "they will not be significantly harmed by a higher minimum wage." "In fact, the chief financial officer of Denny's reported that California’s law raising the minimum wage to $15 by 2023 has been good for the diner chain’s business."

So it's obvious that raising the wage is good for business. What's the real reason behind their obstruction? We know the reason for Manchin and Sinema going along with it; they are paid handsomely to betray their constituents. Seems our only option is for the Democratic Party to spend a lot out of their war chest on ads flooding both of their States with these facts to put the pressure on these two lackeys. And even for the President, Senators and representatives to often and repeatedly physically campaign in their States.

As the industry is spending an enormous amount of money to obstruct, we must do the same to promote. It's the only way we will win this battle. And we must apply the same sort of pressure to end the filibuster in any State with a Senator who opposes it. This is all out war on democracy. The fascist opposition knows it and they're willing to fight hard to destroy it. We must be willing to do even more to maintain it. Contact the President, your Senators and representatives and motivate them to do what's necessary.
