New CDC guidelines and our rush to be normal again

The guidelines say it's safe for fully vaccinated people to meet in private without masks and socially distancing. But they also advise in public to still maintain mask wearing and social distancing. This is because they still don't know to what degree fully vaccinated people can contract and transmit the virus. Despite this new freedom we are far from over this pandemic and should still maintain the utmost caution.

"A growing body of evidence suggests that fully vaccinated people are less likely to have asymptomatic infection and potentially less likely to transmit SARS-CoV-2 to others. However, further investigation is ongoing. [...] Vaccinated people could potentially still get COVID-19 and spread it to others."
