Corbett: An integral scam

Joe Corbett's latest and insightful addition to Integral World. I agree that this rush to go post progressive (or post anything) just bypasses what an authentic progressive like Sanders is. I'm reminded of Hanzi Freinacht noting that Nordic social liberalism 1.0, akin to Sanders, is prerequisite and the basis for going post that into social liberalism 2.0.

I'm also reminded of two of Ray Harris' essays on Integral World from 2004: "Left, right or just plain wrong" and "Thoughts toward an integral political economy." He makes much the same criticism and argument. It's interesting that here we are 17 years later and some 'integralists' still haven't learned.

From Joe's piece:

"The failure to distinguish between woke and progressive, and then again between the corporate Democratic party and the progressive faction within it, is a failure to see what is really going on, and therefore what needs to be done. Saying you have a post-progressive politics does not begin until these kinds of distinctions have been made, and once one does it becomes clear that the goal shouldn't be to become 'post-progressive' but post-corporate neoliberal and post-cultural identity politics."
