Todd sets her response up by describing Sinema's excuse: If we get rid of the filibuster then if the opposition takes over they'll just rescind it anyway. First AOC doesn't accept that false premise because even it it's true that is not an excuse to enact legislation, even it is for a short time. For the period of its enaction it accomplishes its objective. And that is the broader point: Once progressive legislation is enacted people then like it and want to keep it. And that is the real reason Repugs and their Dem enablers don't want to eliminate the filibuster: They know they cannot compete with progressive policy and therefore want to never give it a chance.
Join the resistance: Do no harm/take no shit. My idiosyncratic and confluent bricolage of progressive politics, linguistic framing, the collaborative commons, next generation cognitive neuroscience, American pragmatism, de/reconstruction, dynamic systems, embodied realism, psychodynamics, aesthetics. It ain't much but it's not nothing.
