Dr. Fauci on masks and the Delta variant

Fauci doesn't see the CDC changing its no mask policy for the vaccinated. He's confident that the two-dose vaccines will protect us against it. However he does see that there will certainly be spikes in those communities with low vaccination rates. As I noted earlier it's no surprise that the US will not follow the WHO recommendations on this.

As an aside, even with the no mask policy for the fully vaccinated, it's still utterly irresponsible for dance communities to allow the unvaccinated to go without them. And the policy of not requiring proof of vaccination only encourages the unvaccinated to do so and further spread this more contagious and more dangerous variant. Anyone who supports that sort of policy by default supports the irresponsible spread of the disease. The responsible dance communities continue to require proof of vaccination for public health.
