Hartmann on Biden and Schumer

I caught the last hour of his radio program today. From his last guest to the finish the theme was the weakness of Democrats generally: Their inability to fight like hell, to do whatever it takes to enact what we the people want. Specifically he mentioned both Biden and Schumer as it relates to ending the filibuster and enacting the For the People Act.

Biden as President and Schumer as Senate leader have enormous power and influence over Senators like Manchin and Sinema. They just have to have the fortitude and commitment to use it. Thom gave a few examples of the sticks and carrots they can use, like threatening to take away committee assignments to promises of goodies for their constituents. He hopes that they use everything at their disposal because Thom accurately warns that democracy hangs in the balance.

If Thom posts about this on YouTube later today I'll update it.
