This article discusses how it is increasing cases in the UK, and likely to hit the US next. The vaccines appear to be effective against it but it's causing problems with the unvaccinated since its highly contagious. Given that there are still a lot of unvaccinated people in the UK they are again considering rolling back opening up conditions. The US should also reconsider. "Restricting indoor activities for unvaccinated people is particularly important."
That is, if our goal is to prevent another spike, which the anti-vaxxers don't give a shit about. And apparently neither do some of the fully vaccinated in blithely accepting irresponsible behavior from the non-vaccinated because it won't affect them personally. This pandemic has really exposed us for who we are.
