CDC: Delta rising in the US

Of course it is. Anyone with half a brain saw this coming long ago. It is especially disturbing that "Pfizer said it was seeing waning immunity from its vaccine. The company is now picking up its efforts to develop a booster dose that will protect people from variants. A Pfizer spokesperson later told CNN the company planned to file for emergency use authorization for a booster dose with the FDA in August." 

And of course the greatest increases are in counties with low vaccination rates. This is also partly due to "lax mitigation policies that do not protect those who are unvaccinated from disease [that] will certainly, and sadly, lead to more unnecessary suffering, hospitalizations and potentially deaths." We're seeing such laxity in the US, with many places allowing the unvaccinated to go without masks or social distancing.
