I've heard Thom say this several times on his show. Pox Views and other Repub media outlets, as well as their Congresspeople, create doubt about the vaccine so that their followers won't take it. Data shows it is working, for the counties that voted for T-Rump have the lowest vaccination rates and that is where the Delta variant is now spreading quickly. This intentional strategy is so that the sick and dying cause another economic crash which in turn will help Repubs win in upcoming elections.
Yet the reverse is true for the Dems. Now that we have achieved some success with the vaccines we are completely opening up the economy again. And it is already seeing signs of rebounding. And yet with the Delta variant proving to be somewhat resistant to vaccines, and the public policy of not requiring proof of vaccines for people to go without masks, we are being blinded by economic success and ignoring public health by painting a rosy picture and ignoring the necessity to take further measures against Delta. You won't see Biden or Dem controlled States re-instituting mask mandates for fear of hurting the economy and reducing their chances at reelection.
This pandemic has everyone going nuts for the sake of a buck. Seriously: WTF.
