Hartmann: Rights of citizenship

This phrase is the proper framing for our societal investment in its people, economy and infrastructure. It exemplifies the stark difference of worldview with the regressive framing of entitlements. The former highlights that such investment makes for a health society that works for all. The latter highlights a sick society that works only for corporations and the rich. The former is the progressive agenda, the latter the regressive agenda.

And keep in mind that its not just Repugnacons that accept the regressive framing but also the Democorps. Both accept the brutality of those crapitalistic premises. It's why those of us who at least nominally identify as Democrat are in the battle for our lives and livelihoods with both those factions of neoliberalism. Yes, the Repugs take it to a fascist level while the Democorps limit it to oligarchy. But both must be defeated to have the sort of society Hartmann describes as "rights of citizenship."
