Sirota: Hold a vote NOW on Build Back Better

Quit stalling Schumer and hold a vote immediately. It will force Manikin, Dimena and any other Democorps to face their constituents and explain why they voted it down. The Bill can always be brought up for another vote later but doing so now shames those Democorps who are obstructing it and makes them public pariahs in their own States. It also takes away some of their leverage, which delaying the vote continues to give them.

However it will then be necessary for Biden, Schumer and Pelosi to engage in full hard-ball politics requiring that they campaign heavily and frequently against the holdouts in their States. This will include personal rallies and a mass TV ad blitz. It will in turn motivate public interest organizations to mobilize in mass force as well, as well as motivate constituents there to add much needed pressure.

But that's the thing. Do Party leaders have the needed courage and motivation to engage in this needed inter-Party fight? Will they continue to give the same sorry excuses that the Party needs to be united in order to win elections? We've seen how this rationalization is a miserable lie that hides the real reason of maintaining the status quo corporate bribes with subsequent payback at our expense.

Therefore it is up to we the people to right now demand that Biden, Schumer and Pelosi turn up the heat to a flaming inferno against the holdouts. And we must demand a vote on the Bill NOW. We must also use our mass voices on social and progressive media to let them know that to avoid this necessary fight means that they are then yet again complicit in the corporate corruption they pretend to lay on just the holdouts. It's up to us to make them represent us in no uncertain terms so that they are forced to reveal their own true motives, being either with us or against us.
