No, it is not and never will be. Corporate media continues to blame the progressives for Dem losses, yet repeated polling confirms that they represent what we the people want. But it's not what the Dem Party really wants, which is to appease their corporate donors. Sure, they'll say what we want to hear but the results always expose those lies. Build Back Better is a glaring example of how the Democorps, including and especially Party leaders, proclaim allegiance to progressive ideas while the work to destroy them at the behest of their pay masters.
Progressives should get the message that that dynamic will never change and their efforts at reform are at best wishful thinking. Worse to consider is that they know they cannot change that system and just use it as cover when their agenda fails. Whatever their intent and knowledge, continually being overrun by their own Party should wake them up but somehow it never does and the result is always the same. If they really want change it seems the time has come to leave their corrupt Party behind.
"In today’s U.S. political duopoly the role of the Democratic Party is to protect the Republicans from attacks from the left.[...] One after another, Biden’s campaign promises are being broken – with Biden himself disowning them and showing impatience at how long it is taking the Progressives to surrender to 'reality.'"
"Put bluntly, is the Democratic Party an agent of democracy, or oligarchy? [...] The Democratic leadership policy is to back the candidates who are able to raise the most money. For most candidates the lion’s share come from these lobbyists and special interests, for whom their donations are a business investment."
"The Democratic Party leadership has opposed the influence of the Progressive Congressional Caucus from the beginning. This is oligarchy, not democracy. [...] But the process is manipulated by the DNC’s reliance on the Donor Class. Its political program is simply a marketing vehicle, with no 'truth in advertising' regulation."
