From the NYT Morning Newsletter we learn that it is more contagious than previous variants but vaccines provide strong protection against serious illness. However it will also increase vaccinated breakthrough cases but which will likely be milder. The unvaccinated as usual will have the most cases, hospitalizations and deaths, as well as being the main contributor to its spread. Bottom line: Get vaccinated and get boosters.
