There were 46,424 new cases during that 4-week period, an average of 1658 per day. Of that total 39.9% were among the vaccinated (18,532). The vaccinated also had 17.4% of the hospitalizations and 7.6% of the deaths. As reported, the vaccinated have far better chances of staying out of the hospital and surviving, but while infected they are still able to transmit the disease to others. The unvaccinated are a lost cause but for the vaccinated please be extra careful and take all precautions to prevent its spread.
