Omicron subvariant more contagious and severe

So why TF has NM and other States lifted their indoor mask mandates? Especially when the vaccinated are having increasing cases, hospitalizations and deaths? Has government decided that our health and lives are irrelevant compared to the economy? Seriously, WTF? According to the latest research:
