Congress eliminates Post Office's poison pill

Years ago, at the behest of private mail services to get rid of the Post Office (PO), Congress passed a bill that required the PO to finance its employees retirement for 75 years in advance. It was a requirement that no other federal agency or private company had ever had or has.

After passing the House with some Republican support it has now passed the Senate with some Republican support, so that draconian sabotage will be gone once Biden signs it. With this burden removed the PO can get out of the red caused by it and once again become financially solvent.

The next step is to get rid of the other Republicans on the PO Board, including its head DeBoy, who have also been determined to sabotage the service.
