The good news is that there were only 117 new cases yesterday. In the last 28 days there were 7,039 new cases averaging 251 per day. Of those 21.5% were of the vaccinated, 27.6% vaccinated with booster. In those categories 13.1 % and 15.4% were hospitalized and 16.2% and 9.1% died.
The bad news is that the Omicron sub-variant is now about 75% of new cases and it is 30% more infectious than the original Omicron. Fauci expects we'll see an 'uptick' in cases but not likely a 'surge.' Yeah, right. With the relaxation of CDC recommendations and most all States eliminating vax and mask mandates I think we can expect a surge like China and they've been super careful. And Deltacron is coming. Then what? Wheeeee! Let's still pretend it's over.
