Robert Anton Wilson: Nature's God

Some of his timeless wisdom in this excerpt from that book. To me this indicates that we humans cannot help but create stories to create meaning of our lives. And yet if those stories are not rooted in and delimited by nature and our relationship with it then they are indeed hollow, literally masking and alienating us from our source with the obvious consequences of climate and human chaos.

"The study of psychology should be a history of the metamorphoses of men and women into their habitual Masks. [...] We create our Masks, as God allegedly made the world, out of nothing. In both cases, the nothingness sometimes shows through. [...] There is no complete theory of anything."
