TYT on overturning Roe

Granted and rightly they go after the Repugs on this. But they also criticize the Dem Party. The latter said in response they're going to create legislation that legalizes Roe. And yet Schumer, in the very same breath, said they will not try to eliminate the filibuster which is required to pass such a law. As usual, the Dems pretend to support an issue for our votes but refuse to do what is necessary to pass it.

And then they end up blaming progressives for it not passing, as if their commitment to fight hard for an issue is the problem. No, it's just a pathetic excuse to cover for their typical surrender on the issue and for which they cannot take responsibility. It's ironic that the fight in progressives is exactly what we need and exactly what Dems try to prevent because they might actually win something.

Ana is quite upset in this video, and rightly so. We should all be this upset because it provides the necessary impetus to get off of our asses and do something. She voiced something I've been considering of late: That trusting in elected officials to get a people's agenda passed is pointless. She suggests that we the people have to take matters into our own hands, organize, create unions, protest. The recent successes at Starbucks and Amazon show that we can win if we apply our time and energy in such ways. Forget Congress and politicians. Ana's done with them and so are many of the rest of us.
