Memes are effective political framing

Humiliating your opponent with satire and humor is an effective political strategy. Think of the late night TV hosts like Colbert who is highly influential. And per cognitive science short, succinct phrases, especially with images, are highly effective influencers.

In this clip The Young Turks are discussing all the memes about Josh Hawley (aka Gosh Golly) running away from the very people he incited to storm the Capitol. Cenk talks about how Fetterman in the PA race is using memes to belittle his opponent Oz. Republicans value strength and authority and his memes make Oz look weak and silly.

Keep up the good work citizens. Keep those memes coming. They are working.
