Pascal Robert on why the right has gone off the edge

When the Democratic Party abandoned the working class and took up supporting corporations, it took the usual place of the Republican Party. Hence to differentiate itself from the Democrats the Republicans moved further and further right until we got what we have today: They've become fascists while the Democratic Party are neoliberals. 

Both suck and need to be countered by the progressives, who want to return the government to one by, of and for we the people. But because of the extreme fascism of the right we tend to overlook the neoliberalism of the left because the former is a dire emergency. But while we're fighting fascism we also have to fight neoliberalism, for the latter sets up the conditions for the former.
