Hartmann explains RepugnaKlan cruelty

They worship Ayn Rand. Her character Howard Roark in The Fountainhead was based on the real life case of William Edward Hickman. In 1927 He kidnapped a girl for ransom and then brutally murdered and dismembered her. Rand wrote in her diary that she saw him as the ideal man. She believed "his greatest quality was his unfeeling, pitiless selfishness." Hickman was "the best and strongest expression of a real man’s psychology I ever heard." She thought that at his trial Hickman was persecuted because the jury and media just could not understand his "daring challenge to society." She described him as "a man with no regard whatever for all that society holds sacred, with a consciousness all his own."

The Repugnaklan Party worships her cruel values. If anyone isn't a 'self-made' man but relies on society's assistance in any way then the latter deserve what they get. They have no compassion whatsoever since such an emotion is for the weak. It's a dog eat dog world, the survival of the fittest. The rest deserve to starve and die. 

You can plainly see this worldview behind numerous Repugnaklan polices. They took sick joy is voting down a Bill that would provide healthcare to millions of veterans suffering from the effects of toxic burn pits. Repugnaklan-controlled States refused to provide Medicaid. They want to destroy Medicare and Social Security. They want a 'free market,' which means free to rape the land and our people for personal profit at society's expense. You know, like Hickman cut us all to pieces for his proud individuality.

It is no wonder that Twitler was their idol, the embodiment of Hickman/Roarke come to life. He exemplified all of Rand's and the Party's glorious qualities. And to this day the Party is still controlled by that selfish cruelty. Even the ones who have turned on Twit Have more likely done so due to him exposing what underlies their very worldview. Such a view can only thrive in the dark, masked by manipulative propaganda that blames scapegoats for our troubles instead of the worldview that created it.

PS: In her last years Rand was on Medicare and Social Security. You don't hear about that from Repugnaklans. For then they'd have to condemn her, which might cause cognitive dissonance that her and their entire philosophy is a castle made of sand.
