He qualifies the following statements by noting that not every Republican is MAGA. But the Republican Party today is captured by that ideology. Many Republicans agree.
"Donald Trump and MAGA Republicans represent an extremism that threatens the very foundations of our republic" (3:07).
"MAGA Republicans do not respect the Constitution. They do not believe in the rule of law. They do not recognize the will of the people. They refuse to accept the results of a free election. And they're working right now as I speak in State after State in America to give power to decide elections to partisans and cronies, empowering election deniers to undermine democracy itself" (4:24).
And there's far more on their fascist agenda thereafter.
He then compares them with examples of what he and the Democrats have accomplished: The largest economic package since FDR; the biggest infrastructure investment since Eisenhower; the most significant gun reform since Clinton; the most significant healthcare reform since Obama; the most important climate legislation in our history.
He ends with praising the values on which this country was founded: Decency, dignity, respect, optimism, courage, character, empathy, liberty, justice. And most importantly democracy itself. Quite the contrast with MAGA. He reminds us of exactly what the mid-term elections are about. It's our choice so choose wisely America.
