Borowitz: How the GQP weaponized ignorance

In this interview he talks about his new book. And it's a serious book full of facts. The most startling of which is that the Republican Party has knowingly and intentionally dumbed down its messaging to influence a culture they've programmed to denounce intelligence and expertise while accepting ignorance as a virtue. 

Granted the Party has real idiots like Palin, Taylor Greene and Boebert. But Cruz, DeSantis and Hawley are educated and smart yet choose to feed the ignorance by throwing hateful red meat to their programmed masses. They know their base is ignorant, just the way they want them, as they are more easily controlled with propaganda. It's a very sick statement on America and on our politicians.
