Demand Progressive Caucus block Manchin side deal

The Lever reports that most members of the Caucus have yet to pledge to block Manchin's insidious side deal that allows fast track approval of oil and gas pipelines. Both House and Senate Democratic leaders will sneak it in in a must pass budget deal. Bernie Sanders of course said he would veto it if it is included in such legislation, as did Ro Khanna.

However they are the only ones so far. A number of Caucus members did previously send a letter to leaders to please not attach the poison pill to must pass legislation. We know that those leaders will just scoff and tell them to go f___ themselves. The Caucus as a whole must once again threaten to block the must pass legislation if the crooked Manchin deal is not untied from it.

Recall they did it before with requiring Build Back Better (BBB) to pass the Senate first before they voted on the infrastructure bill. But in the end they stupidly believed Pelosi and surrendered on that vote. And of course BBB was left out to dry. So let's pressure the Caucus to once again threaten to bloc block and this time see it through to the end. Call Chair Jayapal at (202) 225-3106 and fill out this Caucus contact form.
