This video explains what an amicus brief is: A brief submitted to a court by non-parties to a case offering guidance based on experience. In this case the brief is offered by former federal prosecutors on the issues at hand, all who served in Republican administrations.
The brief explains that the judge doesn't have jurisdiction and the plaintiff has no standing. They cite all the relevant law supporting this position. This is basic law that every judge knows or should know. Cannon ruled that she rejects it outright. In doing so she ruled that she rejects basic law in its entirety, proving she is just a crony hack chosen only for a corrupt purpose.
This is why it is imperative that the DOJ appeal her decision immediately. They must refuse to participate whatsoever in this charade. To do so will only lead to Cannon in bad faith ruling against every good faith legal attempt by the DOJ. They must not give her the power to control the outcome, which obviously is to completely derail the investigation.
