What if Thomas decides on his own in Trump's appeal?

Continuing the last post, since Injustice Thomas handles appeals for the 11th Circuit, he "could handle the request on his own." Granted the usual procedure is to refer it to the whole Court be he doesn't have to. So what if he doesn't and uses his power to rule on his own?

This is particularly significant because there is an uproar that he should recuse himself given his wife's active participation to overturn the 2020 election with false claims of election fraud. But he doesn't have to. And if he doesn't and decides the issue by himself?

Then what? According to Meidas Touch below then the DOJ could petition the entire Court to hear the case. He thinks that if the entire Court hears the case they'd likely not even accept it. But again, we are dealing with a majority of extreme conservative ideologues so we cannot count on that.
