Antonia Scatton accurately declares that Biden has beaten the Repugnantcons at their own game: Framing the issues in value terms and being authentically committed to enacting them.

This entails mobilizing government to help people solve problems, which he framed as bi-partisan and patriotic. Biden's SOTU listed a number of the bi-partisan programs he signed into law. Therein he redefined the meaning of bi-partisanship not as the center between the two Parties but what the majority of what we the people want.
Scatton sees defending strong government action as a clean break from past Democratic defensive excuse-making. It's a matter of framing the government as of, for and by we the people. And not just framing it accurately but following through by fighting for the legislative actions that embody the frame.
Biden showed us the winning playbook, so now progressives need to get busy following his example if they too want to win elections and serve we the people.
