The real reason McCarthy released all the Jan. 6 video

It is to provide the Brady defense to all those who are currently being, or in the past have been, criminally tried about their participation in the insurrection. Brady requires that all possible exculpatory evidence must be presented at trial. While some of the Jan. 6 video has indeed been presented, obviously not all 44,000 hours of it has been. So McCarthy has released all of it so that the defense lawyers can either halt the current trials to examine this new 'evidence,' or ask for retrials for those already convicted. We'll see if this tactic works in the courts.
