DA Willis offers 8 electors immunity deals

One would think such an offer would be in exchange for damaging testimony but that it not the case. 

"The electors who accepted immunity did so without any promise that they would offer incriminating evidence in return. And they have all stated that they remain unified in their innocence and are not aware of any criminal activity among any other electors."

So WTF is the story here then? The fake elector scheme is one element of this investigation. Does this mean that it no longer is? Or that the other 8 electors will still be prosecuted? Or what? A very strange leak of information.
