Read the poem. It is about our "unfinished" country and its message is one of hope and unity. "We are striving to forge our union with purpose. To compose a country committed to all cultures, colors, characters and conditions of man."
And that's the crux of the complaint, which presupposes hateful white supremacy which projects its own hate on a message of radical love and inclusion.
