DOJ files request for protective order

At the Thursday indictment the judge warned Trumpler that it was a crime punishable by pretrial incarceration to try to "influence a juror or try to threaten or bribe a witness or retaliate against anyone" tied to the case. Note that free speech does not apply under those conditions. Nor in the commission of any crime, for that matter, as noted in the indictment.

On Friday Trumpler posted: "If you go after me I'm coming after you." Shortly afterward the DOJ made the request for a protective order to keep him from revealing sensitive information obtained during discovery.

"Such a restriction is particularly important in this case because the defendant has previously issued public statements on social media regarding witnesses, judges, attorneys, and others associated with legal matters pending against him. And in recent days, regarding this case, the defendant has issued multiple posts—either specifically or by implication."

We know Trumpler cannot help himself even with a protective order. So hopefully the next step when he does it again is to lock him up and keep him off of social media before and during the trial. Will the judge have the courage to do what's necessary?
