FrameLab: Why Bidenomics failed

We should know by now that just stating the facts is not enough to motivate people. And that's what Biden is doing with his economic successes. Despite that we the people don't feel like the economy is getting better and hence Biden is losing on the issue to a fascist. FrameLab thinks that Biden and Dems should focus on the latter issue instead, as our freedoms are nearer and dearer to our hearts anyway and thus a more effective strategy. And yet FrameLab itself insists on just calling it authoritarianism, itself a lame frame that lacks the necessary impact to motivate voters. FASCISM is the frame we must continually reiterate to do the job. Biden used 'neo-fascism' but once last election to great effect but then backed off.

While FrameLab did not provide an alternative economic framing, Reframing America did so we should also use their suggestions in messaging on the economy. For example, the government is essential in helping businesses work. And the government is we the people creating protections to ensure that business works for all of us. That requires that businesses pay their fair share of taxes to ensure that we can pay for public services like law enforcement and infrastructure. The bottom line is that as a society we value that everyone is given a fair shake.

To win in 2024 we need to address both of the above issues with the values that underlie them. Both FrameLab and Reframing America are giving us the necessary tools to achieve that goal. Pay heed to their advice and get busy reinforcing our values in addition to the facts and figures. The consequences are retaining democracy itself and yes, it is that serious.
