Trumpler is actually claiming this as an excuse for not only over-valuing his properties but committing falsification of business records in the second degree, issuing false financial statements, insurance fraud and conspiracy. His investment buddies rationalize that we all do it so what's the big deal?
They are a privileged, entitled bunch who think they are above the law, just like Trumpler. Let's hope that the legal system truly exemplifies that no one is and prosecute the whole lot of them, not just the Orange Menace.
I can honestly say that Jon's extended rant about this has the appropriate valuation and well worth the investment of your time.
