Johnstone on US Israel policy

While Harris did acknowledge 'both sides' in her acceptance speech, she ignored altogether Israel's genocide. It allows the US to keep sending Israel weapons under the guise of 'protecting themselves' when it is clearly far more than that. Johnstone is right that we must acknowledge this reality and stop ALL weapon shipments until it can be proven that Israel has stopped the genocide, period.

However, we're not likely to get that out of Harris either. So for practical purposes she and the Dems are still far better than Trumpler and the Repugs on this and every other issue. We have to choose the best option while still fighting to ban the weapons. Our best chance is to keep petitioning the Harris Administration.

PS: Johnstone also calls out artists to live up to their responsibilities and address this madness so as to influence the desired outcome.
