Uygur makes a good point

Cenk has been criticized by progressives for making the rounds on conservative media. It's seen as consorting with the enemy when the enemy only wants to utterly destroy the progressive agenda. And yet Cenk notes that while disingenuous, conservatives nonetheless play at economic populism to get votes. He thinks progressives can take advantage of that by making an economic populist blitz ourselves. That's why he goes on their shows, to reinforce it but from a progressive perspective.

He might be on to something, as Bernie, AOC and Robert Reich, among others, are also emphasizing that progressives need to focus on economic populism to win back the working class. Just maybe doing it on conservative shows, where the audience has been programed with fake populism, might just reach them when strongly presented with the real thing?
