Holocaust bystanders

This article discusses the topic noting that bystanders to the atrocities were not perpetrators or victims but were nonetheless passive and indifferent to them. This article explores how Germany became a bystander culture during this time, given that to be otherwise exposed one to personal risk.

It is instructive to compare that time with our own in the US. Granted we have not yet reached the extremes of Nazi Germany. But it is equally obvious that we are on the accelerating path to a similar goal. And if we remain passive and indifferent to what is happening now, we in effect are surrendering to that final solution.

It's now or never to defend our democracy from this fascist assault if we don't want that horrific outcome. Ignoring it out of fear will only guarantee it. And as much as you might deny it, you will be partly responsible for that nightmare.
