We know that Orban visited Trump and the Republicans several times before the last Presidential election. His takeover of Hungary was used as the model for their own plans. This is how Hungary is now described and we see it in the Trump Admin and Repug Party:
"Hungary has undergone major constitutional, political, and institutional changes that have led many observers to describe it as an 'illiberal democracy' or a hybrid regime blending formal democratic processes with authoritarian practices... Scholars commonly refer to it as competitive authoritarianism or electoral autocracy, where democratic institutions formally exist but are subverted to maintain power."
Hartmann calls it 'soft fascism.'
