Stuart Appelbaum, President of the Retail, Wholesale and Department Store Union explains that the reason they lost the vote at Amazon's Bessmer plant was due to employer intimidation and interference. Amazon told workers they might have to shut down the facility if they got a union. Amazon alternatively claimed workers would lose their benefits under a union. Amazon installed a voter drop box under surveillance against the National Labor Relations Board law. This is what we're dealing with in giant corporations who don't play fair. And they don't have to because they buy politicians who protect them and not the workers of this country.
