The Democratic center has moved left. It could not return to the Obama years, which were at best centrist. The shift was motivated by the pandemic and the economy tanking, which exposed that the old normal just wasn't good enough anymore. However the establishment only moved a little left, stealing the framing of Bernie, AOC and the progressives, who themselves genuinely reflect the will of the majority. Granted Biden and the Party only went so far, as it still has to appease its donors. And the necessity of our challenges requires of them to go much further into Bernie land.
Another issue is that while Biden talks a good game on taxing corporations and the rich, he won't get what he wants and it will be negotiated down to a much lower, if any, increase. Instead he'll have to borrow from the corporations to pay for his programs which will only further perpetuate the status quo, funneling tax money from the people back up to the top. So while Biden is making some moves left, the fundamental neoliberal agenda, along with the consequent inequality, remains intact. And that can be a future problem for the Party, as the status quo is what got us Twit in the first place.
