Grim: How progressives can pressure Manchin

One way to pressure Manchin is to threaten his aspirations for Governor of WVA in 2024. According to Ryan's calculations, Manchin will need the progressive vote there to accomplish his dream. So said WVA progressives could make him a deal that if he votes to eliminate the filibuster and for the For the People Act they'll support his bid in 2024. Otherwise they'll oppose him and he'll lose. The carrot and the stick in one fell swoop.  

I'm thinking those same WVA progressives, with backing from the national Dem Party's war chest, could do some serious damage to Manchin's reputation by flooding the area with ads on Manchin's connections to the Koch dark money network. The latter is itself flooding the airwaves there with ads against For the People Act.
