Why Cannabis isn't legal nationally

Well if cannabis were made legal nationally then of course Big Pharma would get in the business. And then and only then would government support it as a treatment because then they'd be bought off to support it like they are with Valium. But of course then Big Pharma would lose out on Valium and other drug sales so they will not allow government to legalize cannabis in the first place. That cannabis helps people better than their drugs is irrelevant to them, as they're not in the helping people business.
