He refutes the spin, even in liberal papers, that blame the current economic situation on supply and demand. He shows how they just accept the unconscious premise of capitalism behind it all, while that premise is the problem, not the solution.
The capitalists are the ones who decide what to produce and supply so they are responsible for not keeping up with demand. They are the ones who also decided not to maintain the supply chain and infrastructure. And as usual, we consumers are the scapegoats and suffer the consequences of their bad decisions.
Wolff lays the blame where it belongs, on a failed ideological system.
