House passes infrastructure bill

As expected, most of the progressive caucus caved and voted for the infrastructure bill even before their latest broken promise to vote on the House Build Back Better bill first. Their excuse was that the Democratic House moderates promised to eventually vote for the House BBB bill after the CBO confirms its financial soundness to them, whatever the f___ that means. Jayapal caved on her former commitment by accepting this evasive "pinkie promise" from them. And then it must go to the Senate where Manikin and Sinema will cut the hell out of it and might not even vote for it all.

Six progressives did vote NO though on the infrastructure bill, which would have killed it but 13 Repugnacons joined the Dems to override that objection. Now I suppose we'll hear the BS from Biden and Pelosi about how it was a bi-partisan effort, how it shows they could work across the isle with fascists. The six courageous progressive were AOC, Bush, Bowman, Omar, Pressley, Tlaib. But the caucus as a whole, including Jayapal and Khanna, surrendered their power and once again caved to corporate pressure in their own Party. Sickening.
